Kris Bernal's daughter Hailee Lucca celebrated her first birthday!

In a touching Instagram post, the celebrity mom shared a video reel capturing precious moments between her and her little girl. Alongside the video, Kris penned a heartfelt birthday message: "And, just like that my baby is ONE! Happy 1st Birthday, my #LittleSunshine, Hailee Lucca," she wrote, tagging her daughter.

Reflecting on her journey as a mother, Kris expressed gratitude and love: "I never knew my heart had such capacity until the moment you were born! Thank you for making me a 'mama'," she said.

Describing her daughter as her "heart," "soul," and "source of her laughs and tears," Kris also mentioned that Hailee is the "best thing" that has ever happened to her. "You have taught me patience when frustration was near, and have taught me the power of a 'best friend' that I needed in me," she added.

Expressing her admiration and love for her daughter, Kris concluded her post by thanking her for giving her the best year of her life: "Thank you for giving me the best year of my life. I love watching your personality develop more every day and seeing you grow up. You're going to be such a gentle soul, but one who stands her ground!"

Hailee is Kris's eldest child with her husband, Perry Choi, whom she married in 2021. The couple announced Hailee's birth in March 2023 and revealed that they would be welcoming another child in April. They introduced their daughter to the public in August last year, and Hailee was born in June.

Despite facing challenges as a new mother, Kris has been open about her experiences. In an interview earlier this year, she admitted that adjusting to motherhood was difficult but noted that things are gradually improving. "Nahirapan talaga ako mag-adjust pero so far it's getting better," she said, adding, "This doesn't mean I'm not grateful, na hindi ko Gusto 'tong journey ko. Ito ang pinakamagandang nangyari sa buhay ko."

On Instagram, Kris also expressed her appreciation for motherhood: "It's been a rollercoaster ride, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else."
